Cherry blossom forecast

It is almost the season for cherry blossom!

Sakura will be blooming from the 26th of March in Osaka.
So the beginning of April must be much better for cherry-blossom viewing!

If you go to the place which has light up for sakura, it looks more beautiful:)

 Have you gone for seeing cherry blossom?
If not, I will recommend you go to Mt Yoshino.

Traditionally Mt. Yoshino had many cherry trees including around 200 different types and thirty thousand trees. Beautiful but yet fragile mountain cherry blossoms cover path to path, valley to valley and finally all over the mountain.


There are a lot of white moutain cherries around Shimo, Naka, Kami, and Oku area. Senbon is an expression that you can view a thousand cherry trees at a glance.
 Simo-senbon, Naka-senbon, Kami-senbon, Oku-senbon are viewed in chronological order starting from early April through late April.
In this way, you can enjoy a beautiful cherry blossoms for a long period. Night cherry blossoms are also recommended (lit-up).

Have you seen cherry blossoms this year?

I was going to Kyoto to see them last weekend but I couldn't make it because it was bad weather.

I guess many people were in the same situation.



If you missed seeing the cherry blossoms, you can go to Japan Mint in Osaka.


You still can see several kinds of cherry blossoms.
It's opened from 16th to 22nd this month.

The Mint Bureau under cherry blossoms Apr.14-20

There is the Mint Bureau in Osaka city, near Osaka castle and it's famous for cherry blossoms with approx. 120 species, 370 trees in bloom.
They open their garden for 1 week in only this season, so thousands of people come to enjoy the last cherry blossom - because this place is the last one where we can see them,as they are all late blossoms.
You can enjoy gorgeous cherry blossoms, and also you will a lot and a lot of food stalls beside the river.. and again, with tons of people..

But it's worth to visit for both enjoying cherry blossom and yummy foods. Don't miss it!!
